Is painting cabinets cheaper than replacing them?
The cost is very similar to buying low-end pre-finished cabinets, roughly $5,000 to $8,000 for a typical kitchen. The real difference is downtime: replacing cabinets and countertops puts a kitchen out of service for about a month. With painting, the boxes are done in a couple of days and the whole job wraps in about a week.
How long before I can rehang the doors?
We like doors and drawer fronts to cure two to three weeks before they go back up, because paint takes about a month to fully harden. If you need them sooner we can rehang within a few days, with a small risk the finish is still soft enough to chip.
Will there be overspray or dust in my house?
No. We run a purpose-built spray booth that pulls air out, filters it, and exhausts outside, and we sand with dust-extracting sanders. Doors are labeled and mapped so every piece returns to its exact opening.
